CHESTER, NOVA SCOTIA (August 17, 2019) – With a full four days of ideal weather including steady south-east winds – unheard of in recent Chester Race Week memory – sailors were understandably tired, but ready to give their best effort on the fourth and final day.

CHESTER, NOVA SCOTIA (August 15, 2019) – As if on cue, a threatening fog off Blandford rolled back and fresh winds picked up just as races started for Day 2 of Helly Hansen Chester Race Week 2019 on Mahone Bay on the beautiful South Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada.
2019 – Day 1: Strong competition, close fleets and steady winds
The four Baker siblings – sister Jesleine and brothers Philip, Jim and David – and crew power their J/30 “Just Add Water” to first place in the Distance Fleet at the end of day 1 of sailing.

CHESTER, NOVA SCOTIA (August 5, 2019) – Getting ready for what is likely the regatta’s longest unbroken competitive run, 73-year-old Halifax attorney Robert Cragg confirmed he is registered to skipper his 53rd consecutive regatta since his first in 1967. “I had to have my own boat – no one else would have me on theirs.”

Thick fog, swells and rains that varied from a sprinkling to torrential downpour didn’t dampen enthusiasm at the many start lines.
